Nursing Support Workers' Day

Celebrate with us

On Sunday 23 November, we’ll be celebrating nursing support workers and the vital contribution they make to patients in health and social care.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing how you can take part in this year’s celebrations. In the meantime, if you are a nursing support worker member, find out more about our annual conference on Saturday, 22 November.

How do we support nursing support workers?

Nursing support workers are the bedrock of our wards, clinics and community teams. The term ’nursing support worker’ encompasses hundreds of different job titles and roles, including health care support workers, assistant practitioners, nursing associates and health care assistants.

They work independently, alongside registered nurses and as part of wider multidisciplinary teams in all health and social care settings.
